As a therapist, I serve to educate, motivate, inspire and support the client in achieving their goals. Clients gain support while working toward their desired outcome, without being labeled with a diagnoses. The client receives cranial sacral therapy which brings the nervous system into balance, releasing unresolved emotional issues from the tissues of the body. While the body is unwinding, clients are gently guided through cognitive processing therapy, a practice to help clients notice their harmful thought patterns and the impact these thoughts have on their lives. Once they begin to examine their thoughts, typically rooted in fear, they begin to restructure old thought patterns to be self healing, motivating and loving. This approach is ideal for individuals willing to overcoming fear, recover from trauma or personal hardships and resolve the emotional component of their discomfort or illness. Individuals are provided with take home practices including affirmations, ancient meditations and breathwork to integrate into their daily lives. Financial Counseling including, budgeting and credit counseling is also available. Duration of therapy is typically 6 to 12 weekly sessions to resolve a specific issue or goal set in the beginning of therapy. Clients have the option of resuming counseling if other life events or issues arise. FEE FOR SERVICE:
unethical to have to give someone a diagnose in order to receive payment from the insurance company. Insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to grant payment for care. This diagnosis can follow clients over their lifetime and impact their ability to get insurance coverage in the future. I also believe, that in most cases it is harmful to label oneself or others with a diagnosis. Instead I work from a strengths based perspective that focuses on helping clients come back to their best self. |
