About Sheila Fazio,

Sheila Fazio, is co-owner of Roots of Wellness Chiropractic and Holistic Therapies.  Sheila  works as a licensed
clinical social worker, licensed massage therapist, cranial sacral therapist & certified yoga teacher.  She is passionate
in helping individuals restore their health, maintain balance and connect with their own internal power and wisdom.  
 

As a practitioner Sheila integrates eastern and western modalities into her work as a teacher, therapist and body
worker. Sheila specializes in working with clients recovering from trauma, wanting to make a life change or those
called to find forgiveness, overcome fear and return to love.  Sheila emphasizes strength based practices that honor
each client's unique special nature.

Sheila also  provides holistic mental health counseling for clients interested in an alternative to traditional talk
therapy.  She blends modalities that work on the five layers of each individuals, including the physical body,
energetic body, mind/emotional body, intellect and awareness of the eternal.   This multi-prong approach support
the physical body, promotes health thinking, increases capacity to regulate energy, access our intuition and connect
with the deepest part of ourselves.  

Sheila loves to teach yoga privately or in group settings.  She currently teaches group classes at Urban Breath,

Washington University in the Schools of Social  Work.  Sheila also provides clinical supervision to social workers
pursuing state licensure that are interested in Holistic Mental Health practice.  .

Sheila graduated with honors with her MSW from UM-St. Louis in 2001.  She spent over 9 years working in Housing,
Human Rights, Economic Justice and Advocacy for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence.  She traveled nationally
providing client centered intensive advocacy trainings for the REAP institute and currently provides trainings on
Economic Advocacy and Vicarious Trauma throughout MO.

In 1998, Sheila began practicing yoga and reiki.  Six years later, she was inspired to begin studying yoga intensively
and traveled throughout the country to study with Rod Stryker, Saul David Raye and Matthew Krepps.  She has
acquired over 400 hours of training.   Sheila began integrating holistic therapy with her work with clients impacted
by violence. Sheila was inspired by her clients to learn more about somatic emotional release work and she began her
studies in Massage and Cranial Sacral therapy in 2007.

She grew up in Villa Ridge MO where she met her husband Daniel Fazio in Washington High School.  They currently
live in St. Louis with their beautiful daughter Cecilia.
