Yoga & Meditation

    For Beginner & Intermediate Students
     Yoga
Yoga practice encourages relaxation, increases strength and flexibility and
    improves overall
balance.  The highest purpose of yoga is to help us find inner peace and
    self acceptance.
Discover the benefits of both Hatha and Restorative yoga. Students can
choose from individual or group classes.  Individuals also have an
opportunity to create their very own yoga class.  See below for more details.

    Restorative Yoga
This practice brings balance to our autonomic nervous system and is
greatly beneficial for chronically stressed individuals.   It incorporates
gentle yoga postures that increase range of motion, while utilizing
props to assist with deep relaxation.  Best for those in high-stress
professions or life circumstance. Restorative Yoga is a great practice
for parents, teachers, social workers, professional and personal
    caregivers.

    Hatha Yoga:
For thousands of years people have practiced Hatha Yoga with the
result of an improved sense of health and well being, feeling more at
peace with themselves and in increased inner awareness. The most
familiar and popular aspect of yoga in the West is Hatha Yoga, which
refers to the heating and cooling of the body with physical postures
and movements of the body, breathing practices and meditation.

Hatha Yoga may be practiced by people of any age or physical
condition. In case of acute or chronic illness, please consult a
    physician before starting yoga.

Some of the benefits from a regular practice of yoga include:
  •  Relaxation of body and release of mental tension,
  •  Improved sense of balance in body and mind,
  •  Improved muscle strength and tone,
  •  Increase in flexibility in body and mind,
  • Purification of the digestive, respiratory, circulatory,
    endocrine and nervous systems

    Meditation
Meditation practice develops an inner calmness, intuition and true self
    knowledge.
Learn simple meditative techniques to calm your mind, ease your worries
and return to the joyfulness of life.  You will also learn pranayama
(breathing practices) accompanied with insight or instrumental meditation,
    mantra, chanting, and labyrinth walking.
